Dude, it’s only a mile!
Register to run the 9th annual Doc Chey’s N. Highland Mile (formerly Morningside Mile). 100% of race profits are donated to help revitalize the N. Highland commercial district.
After saving the Historic Virginia-Highland Fire Station 19, Atlanta’s premiere 1-mile road race returns bigger and better than ever. This year’s race kicks off the partnership between Doc Chey’s, Morningside Lenox Park Association (MLPA), and the Virginia-Highland Civic Association (VCHA)—we’re joining forces to revitalize the North Highland Corridor through Atlanta’s original intown neighborhoods.
The 9th Annual Race kicks it up a notch, setting our sites on improving the vital North Highland commercial district and streetscape. For the first year ever, the race will begin close to the Virginia/North Highland intersection, run straight up North Highland Avenue through Virginia-Highland and Morningside and finish at Morningside Village. Runners and neighbors will celebrate the arrival of Spring with an incredible block party featuring live entertainment, fun, and refreshments. The funds raised from the race and block party will be used to enhance our neighborhood.
Great swag, cash prizes & a fun post-race block party at Doc Chey’s featuring a LIVE BAND and our annual Noodle Eating Contest! All ages & skill levels are welcome from competitive runners to walkers and moms with jog strollers.
