What is a Karma Card?
A Karma Card is used both as a HomeGrown loyalty card & gift card. Register your card online to enjoy Karma Club benefits.
Why should I register my Karma Card?
By registering your card, you will receive an instant $5 bonus, be eligible to receive Karma Card rewards (free appetizer EACH time you reach 100 points, free birthday entree, free appetizer for membership anniversary, etc.), protect your card if lost, and receive special VIP treatment. If you do not register your card online, you will not receive any Karma Card benefits.
When do my rewards expire?
- Registration Reward ($5 off ) - expires after 90 days
- 100 Point Reward (free appetizer) - never expires
- Birthday Reward (free entrée) - expires after 90 days
- Membership Anniversary Reward (free appetizer) - expires after 90 days
- Miss U Reward (buy 1 get 1 free) - expires after 30 days
How do I check my account balance, transaction history & edit account info?
You can do this when you log-in to your account online anytime.
Why am I missing 100 points?
Each time you reach the 100 point reward level, 100 points are deducted from your account and a free appetizer reward is added to your balance. If this is not the issue, email a brief explanation of the situation and your Karma Card number to karma@homegrownrestaurants.com.
Why am I missing rewards?
In order to be eligible to enjoy Karma Club benefits & rewards, your card must be registered online. Click here to register your card. If your card is already registered and the rewards balance is still incorrect, email a brief explanation of the situation and your Karma Card number to karma@homegrownrestaurants.com.
Why do I have multiple balances?
Your Karma Card account should have 3 balances:
- GIFT DOLLARS – amount of gift dollars purchased as a gift card (no expiration).
- REWARDS - how many rewards you currently have available (free appetizers, entrees, etc.). Reward expirations include: 30 days for “buy 1, get 1 free” reward, 90 days for birthday & anniversary rewards, and NO expiration for 100 point reward.
- POINTS - how many points you’ve earned (1 point for each dollar spent before tax & tip). Each time you hit 100 point, 100 points are deducted, and a free appetizer is added to your rewards balance. If your card is NOT registered, your point balance will not redeem at the 100 point reward. Points have no expiration.
Why am I missing my free birthday entree? There are 3 reasons:
- CARD NOT REGISTERED - Karma Club rewards, such as the free birthday entrée, are only available to members who joined the Karma Club by registering their card online.
- REGISTERED CARD TOO LATE DURING BDAY WEEK - Once a week, on Tuesdays, we add free entrees to all members who have a birthday from Tuesday to Monday of that week, and we send out a Happy Birthday email to all eligible members who are opted-in to our email list. If you registered your card during your birthday week, but after Tuesday, then the free birthday will not be added to your account. Since this rare error occurs, we will be happy to comp you a free entrée if you dine during your birthday week and present your registered Karma Card and a valid ID listing your birthdate.
- YOU DIDN’T INCLUDE YOUR BIRTHDAY WHEN YOU REGISTERED - Since some people are sensitive about giving out their age, it is not required to list your birthday when you register your card online. But, if we don’t know your birthday, then we can’t give you a free entrée for your birthday. If you are concerned about people seeing your birth date, have no worries; our servers do not have access to your age information. You are not able to edit your birthday on your account, but we will be happy to do so for you; just email us at karma@homegrownrestaurants.com.
How can I add my birthday to my account?
Email your full birthday (mm/dd/yyyy) to karma@homegrownrestaurants.com.
What is an authorization code (REG CODE)?
An authorization code (or REG CODE) is a 6-digit number on the back of your Karma Card or gift card. If your card does NOT have an authorization code, your code is 111111. You are required to enter your card's authorization code when registering your card online.
What should I do if I lose my Karma Card?
One of the benefits of registering your card online is that you can protect its value if lost or stolen. If your card is registered, log-in to your account and write down your account number. Then, next time you dine with us, give your server your account number and they will be happy to transfer your account and balance onto a new replacement card.
Where can I use my Karma Card?
At any HomeGrown Restaurant including Osteria 832, Stella Neighborhood Trattoria, or Doc Chey’s (excluding Asheville).
What is your privacy policy?
We will not share your account info or email with any third parties. Your can subscribe or unsubscribe from our email list at any time.
Why do I receive an error message when registering/logging-in?
This typically happens if you are accessing the page by a "bookmark" or if you are using a MAC/Safari browser. Try typing the Open URL (http://www.pxsweb.com/customer/home.srv) or Secure URL (https://www.pxsweb.com/customer/home.srv).
Why have I not received any Emails?
If you're a registered Karma Card member and missing out on special Email offers and reward notification Emails from us, please do the following:
- Add donotreply@doccheys.com and rewards@paytronix.com to your Email account address book to guarantee that our Emails are not blocked from your Email inbox as "spam".
- Log-in to your account online using your registered user name and password. Verify that your Email address is correct and that you are opted-in to receive emails. If this does not work please let us know at karma@homegrownrestaurants.com.
Can I convert 2 appetizers into 1 entrée?
If you have 2 appetizers on your card balance and would like to redeem them for a free entrée instead, just let the manager know upon ordering and they will take care of it for you.
What are the Refer-a-Friend stipulations?
We'll add 15 points to your Karma Card for each friend you get to join the Karma Club…but you gotta play by our rules! To participate, you must be a registered Karma Card member. You must refer friends through our online system, by logging-in to your account, and clicking on "Tell a Friend." The points will be added to your card instantly when your friend completes registration. NOTE: In order to receive your reward, your friend must complete registration. Limit 7 referrals per year - you can refer more, but rewards are paid on the first 7 that complete registration.
Why does my card not swipe?
There are several causes of this. The magnetic stripe on your card could be scratched or harmed, which does not allow our in-store terminal to read it. The card could have been demagnetized, which happens when a card comes near a powerful magnetic source. Or, your card may be old and worn out. Have no worries – we’re always happy to transfer your old card info and balance to a shiny, new card. Just bring your old Karma Card to the restaurant (or log-in to your account & write down your account number) and a manager will be happy to transfer your account & balance to a replacement card.
Why didn’t I receive a card in the mail?
We’re currently not able to mail Karma Cards to guests. If you want a Karma Card, simply stop by one of our locations and pick one up for free. If you were referred to the program by a friend, you should have received a confirmation email after you completed online registration with a “virtual Karma Card number” and instructions for redeeming the email at the restaurant for a physical card. If you overlooked or misplaced this confirmation email, simply log-in to your account online, write down your account number, and give it to a manager, who will be happy to transfer your account and balance to a card.
How do I prevent duplicate emails?
You might receive duplicate emails from us for two reasons:
- YOU HAVE MULTIPLE REGISTERED KARMA CARD ACCOUNTS - We’ll be happy to merge your accounts to ensure that you receive only one email from us. To do so, email karma@homegrownrestaurants.com.
- YOU ARE ON 2 DIFFERENT EMAIL LISTS – We have two email lists: one for Karma Card members only that you join when you register online & a second email list that anyone can join via our website. Our monthly e-newsletters are sent to both lists, but only Karma Card members get special emails with member-only treats and reward notifications. If this is the case, it’s in your best interest to stay on the Karma Card email list and unsubscribe from our website email list. If you are unsure which is which, email karma@homegrownrestaurants.com and let us know that you’d like to stay on the Karma Card email list, but be removed from the website email list.
I forgot to swipe my card on a previous purchase. Can I still get credit for the points? You must remember to present your Karma Card at the time of purchase in order to earn points for your meal.
